I am thankful for Morgan, Joanne, and Natalia. I love you guys! You guys are some of the best friends a person can have and keep me laughing in and outside of class. I love doing group work with you guys because we always seem to get way, way, .....way off subject. Did you notice everytime we do that, we end up on the subject of youtube or something about something that was on youtube? Anyway! Morgan, I am thankful to have yet another english class with you. Aside from lunch, I don't see you so this class really keeps us in contact which is great because you're a good friend and I don't want to lose you! Also, thankyou for letting me stretch on your desk. And I love the comments that we make that no one else hears, except Joanne and Natalia.
Joanne, I just met you this year but I feel like we've known each other longer. The fact that your life is surrounded with music makes us click instantly. When we read your intro blog, I was like "Oh! My new bestfriend!" :)I love having 6th&7th period with you. Especially when sometimes we do nothing....
Natalia! I love you! Having spanish and math with you last year really brought us close and I'm so glad that we have classes this year together. We always seem to keep each other laughing even when nothings funny. Is that queer? Ummm. :) You crack me up even if you don't know it. You and Joanne, together, is very good for my health because laughing is healthy but if you laugh for 3 days straight, you'll die so I'm glad this isn't boarding school. Wow....I just got way off subject. Youtube. :) I love you guys (and my seat in class) and I am thankful for you guys.

I am a Plow.
I am a Plow. The definition meaning to tear up or cut into. I am a plow to thought, reasoning, and why(s).
I am a Plow. The definition meaning to proceed in a slow laborious and steady manner. I am plow of education.
I am a Plow. The definition meaning to lift. I am a plow to emotion.
I am a Plow even though I swear I am a Pwol. A plow. A [P]erson [L]iving [O]nly to [W]ork. A Pwol. A [P]erson [W]orking [O]nly to [L]ive.
Eventually, I will end up working. Isn't that what school is all about? Getting an education so that I can get a career. But, they kind of fall hand in hand. You live to work but you don't start working until after school (for the most part.) Then, once you start working, you're working only to pay bills, provide for your family, and to survive (car, food, water.)
Funny, a Plow (you know, the thing farmers use) is used for work by a worker. Am I making sense?
A plow (the thing farmers use) is what turns over the soil for a farmer but the farmer still has to put in work because it is he that has to turn the plow. The plow helps to grow the food that we pay for with the money from our jobs that was granted to us from education to eat to survive.
A person is a Plow.
A person cuts into, tears up, lifts, and proceeds in a laborious manner. Do we not?
But what are we plowing?
Don't say society (because I know that's what everyone's thinking.)
No society is the reason we plow but not what we plow. It gives us the stress we need.
We plow Life.
[L]essons that [I]n[F]orm you [E]veryday. Whether you know it or not, you learn from life.
Yupp.
We don't like these lessons. We don't like emotions, bankrupt, and school. But we go through it. We plow through it.
So a person is a plow who uses a plow to plow for the survival of man kind that is given to us by society and comes along with life.
Interesting.

No Direction Needed! I love it!
I love American Lit. It's such a chill class but at the same time we learn something. Alot in fact. To me the class is much like a debate class and is an eviroment where your opinion can be viewed and then rebutled positively or negatively. Unlike every other class, the discusssion is not always lead by the teacher, making it less boring. I seriously can't take another boring class. It's bad enough as is. I actually want to stay up in this class, not that I fall asleep in other class or anything, ehem. :)
Mr. McCarthy, is, or You (since I know you're going to be reading this) are a great teacher! And funny! You make the class the chill enviroment that it is and the curriculum is beautiful meaning it's easy to comprehend. When students know that a teacher is not strict and not always yelling, I believe it makes them do better because then you want to go to that class and pay attention. Paying attention = comprehending = passing test = a good grade in the class = your GPA will be good = not getting in trouble = getting to hang out = an abundancy of stories from the weekend = lunch gossip. Yeaa....
I'm looking forward to the rest of the year in this class. I can't believe I just said that. This only being the first quarter, I feel like I've been in some classes for three years already. I'm glad that I have a class that I know I can come to and enjoy. I'm also glad that my teacher isn't old, boring, and mono-toned! <---- Is that how you spell it?
Anyway! Reading being something I love to do makes the learning all the better.
I can't wait to see the things I will learn in the next three (wow) quarters.

Slavery in 2010?
Umm. I think I've been given this question before but I don't remember what my answer was. With that, I guess I can try to remember what I said and some. Slavery were some hard years for the Africans. Struggle to not get enslaved and struggle to be set free. Being under the control of someone else is something everyone is America just thinks of as "Omg, Ew!" Nowadays, we have so much more equality than back then that it would be too hard to even be able to try and enslave people. Technically, you're enslaved by your parents for 18 years :) I do know that slavery exists in other places around the goal but unfortuantely I do not know what those places are.
If I had to look at society today and try to find some similarities to slavery (which, I have to do right now,) I'd say it's kind of hard. I can't really find an example that brutal to compare to slavery.
When people are in prison, they get treated like priveleged slaves. They get to actually eat decent food, take showers, and have recreational time. The labor that they do though, is much like a slave. Hitting rocks in the sun is kind of like picking cotton.
That's the only thing I can really think of.
I POSITIVE Im missing so much though.
